'GAWAD PILIPINO' AWARDS OUTSTANDING, EMPOWERED WOMEN OF THE YEAR

MANILA – Women from various fields were recognized by the Gawad Pilipino Awards in their 'Babae Ka: #EmbraceEquity 100 Most Empowered Women of the Year.'

One of those recognized in the field of public service is Bangsamoro Member of Parliament Diamila Disimban Ramos, who is also the current Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Youth, Children, and Persons with Disabilities in the BTA Parliament, "This is for you, Bangsamoro. Proudly BARMM."

In her social media post, her daughter and representative, Princess Intishar Ramos, accepted the award on her behalf, together with Julius Disamburun, the Chief of her Public Information and Media Affairs office.

Further, Public Attorney’s Office Chief Dr. Persida Rueda-Acosta, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, and its City Councilors Aiko Melendez, Doray Delarmente, Geelen Lumbad, and Candy Medina; MTRCB Chairperson Diorella Sotto-Antonio; Caloocan City Congresswoman Mitch Cajayon-Uy; DSWD Undersecretary Rowena Taduran; NAPC Undersecretary Penelope Belmonte; broadcasters Susan Enriquez and Mariz Umali; and other distinguished police officers, and NGOs, were also among the women awardees.

Meanwhile, missionary visual artist Kristine Lim was honored as this year's Gawad Pilipino Women's Month ambassador as announced by Gawad Pilipino's Dr. Danilo Mangahas. (PNN/PSR)

BARMM EXTENDS FREE MEDICAL SERVICES TO LANAO DEL SUR RESIDENTS

By: The Mindanao Today (News) LANAO DEL SUR – More than 700 residents of Taraka and Tamparan town in Lanao Del Sur received free medical services from the Office of Bangsamoro Member of Parliament Diamila Disimban-Ramos in partnership with BARMM’s Ministry of Health (MOH). The two-day ‘Anogon Ko Pagtaw: Medical Outreach Program’ is in solidarity with the celebration of the 2023 National Women's Month and aims to help and provide services to the Bangsamoro people, especially the vulnerable sectors who have limited access to medical services. The Medical Outreach Program, which was held earlier in March in Barangay Calupaan Carandangan in Taraka and the Municipal Gymnasium in Tamparan, provided free medical consultations as well as medicines and vitamins. 9 NEW BARANGAY HALLS TO RISE IN SULU

On March 19, S inarimbo said that a conducive office for the barangay officials will help them be more motivated in serving the Bangsamoro constituents. “This is in support of the Balik Barangay Program aimed at returning all IDPs in their villages in Patikul after their long displacement because of the fight against the Abu Sayaf,” Sinarimbo said.
